BCL Technologies Releases Plug-Ins for Acrobat® 5.0
SANTA CLARA, CALIF. 4/4/01 - BCL Technologies, a leader in PDF conversion software, is continuing to make PDF documents more versatile with the release of its software plug-ins for Adobe® Acrobat® 5.0. Existing users, as of 4/4/0, can receive a free upgrade for any Acrobat® 4.0 plug-in purchased on or after March 1, 2001, by contacting email@example.com with the proof of purchase and serial number for their plug-in.
BCL's plug-ins are PDF utilities designed to extract formatted text, tables and graphics from PDF documents generated by Adobe® Acrobat® and convert them into other, more manipulable formats for editing, online publishing and archiving.
- Magellan automatically converts whole PDF documents into searchable HTML while preserving the original document's layout with graphics, lines, hyperlinks and bookmarks intact.
- Jade extracts text, tables and graphics that would be otherwise unobtainable from Adobe® PDF files and converts them to Rich Text Format (RTF) for editing and manipulation in Windows® applications such as Microsoft® Word®, Excel®, and Adobe® Photoshop®.
- Freebird archives PDF documents by converting PDF files into TIFF, JPEG, and BMP graphic output formats with output resolutions of up to 600 dpi, making it an archiving tool that maintains the look and feel of originals without sacrificing graphic clarity or integrity.
- Drake automatically converts whole PDF documents to RTF for easy editing in Microsoft® Word® while preserving page structure to give the user an accurate representation of the original to edit.
All four plug-ins offer businesses and individual users cost-effective ways to automatically republish documents for a variety of different target media. For corporations with high-volume repurposing needs, BCL Technologies also offers Batch, Watched Folder, and COM versions of the plug-in software.
