Use64bitIE Property

Determines whether to use the 64-bit or the 32-bit Internet Explorer to render HTML pages. The default value is True (64-bit IE).




This property is only used on 64-bit Windows. A value of True means that the 64-bit Internet Explorer will be used to render the HTML page contents. False indicates that the 32-bit Internet Explorer is used instead. If your HTML content includes ActiveX controls that only exist in 32-bit, the 64-bit IE will not be able to use them. The workaround is to set Use64bitIE to False, which will let you use your 32-bit-only ActiveX controls.

On 32-bit Windows the Use64bitIE property is completely ignored. Note, however, that 32-bit applications running under 64-bit Windows will still use this property.
