Gets/Sets the flag that indicates whether to make temporary copy of input file before printing or conversion to PDF.
When this flag is On, instead of printing the original input document, easyPDF makes a copy of the input file in a temporary directory, and prints that temporary copy.
In old 64-bit operating systems (Windows XP, Vista, Server 2003, 2008 pre-R2), this flag had to be turned On, because easyPDF had to rely on a unique file name for synchronization purposes. The printer driver sometimes did not know which file was being printed, unless it had a unique file name.
On all modern operating systems (Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10, Server 2008 R2, Server 2012, or newer), this flag is no longer required to be turned On, therefore we recommend that it is turned Off.
There are several disadvantages of printing a temporary copy of a document, instead of the original one:
For these reasons, we no longer recommend setting MakeTempCopyOfInput to True.
The default value is Off on all modern systems, but it is still On for Vista, Server 2008 pre-R2, or older.
