The PDF security settings change the viewing, extracting, printing, and form filling permissions of the final document. For example, de-selecting the print feature means that users will be prevented from printing the PDF document.
Select this option to turn PDF Security on (The security settings must be honored by the PDF viewing application in order to secure a document. Adobe Acrobat® as well as other PDF related products from BCL Technologies honor PDF security.)
Two security types are available:
This option sets the User Password, which restricts viewing privileges for the PDF. After the PDF is created, users must enter this password before being able to view the file.
This option sets the Owner Password, which restricts modification privileges for the PDF. The owner password allows the owner of the document to access various permissions from within a PDF viewing application. For example, in Adobe Acrobat®, the owner can click [File -> Document Security] and enter the owner password to change document settings.
If the Allow Printing box is checked, users will be allowed to print the PDF.
If the Allow Modification box is checked, users can modify the PDF document.
If the Allow Extraction box is checked, users can extract information from the PDF document (copy, convert to RTF, etc.)
If the Allow Annotating/filling forms box is checked, users can annotate or fill out forms in the PDF document.
If this option is selected, you will be prompted to insert a Digital Signature / ID every time ALLPDF generates a PDF file.
Click on the the "Configure..." button to setup your Digital Signatures / IDs.
